Rolph van der Hoeven talks about innovation, the use of new technology and the importance of data. E.g. how can the most vulnerable people (in crisis and violence) become more empowered? Or link humanitarian aid with development and economy.

Rolph van der Hoeven is emeritus Professor of Employment and Development Economics at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University (EUR) in The Hague, and a member of the Advisory Council on International Affairs (AIV). He has worked at the United Nations (1974-2008), specifically the International Labour Organization and UNICEF in Africa, New York and Geneva.
