Mr Diabaté will explain the functioning of customary justice in Mali. By using real cases of mediation as an example, Mr Mamadou Ben Chérif Diabaté will provide a better understanding of how these systems enhance access to justice through the country and their role in the preservation of social cohesion.

Mr Diabaté is a Malian traditional chief and dispute mediator. Mr Diabaté is also the founder of RECOTRADE, the largest nongovernmental organization of traditional communicators in West Africa.
