Environmental Consultant

“I believe that environmental degradation is a public health issue and the climate crisis is an existential issue for humanity, particularly the vulnerable in societies that are the least responsible for historic and current green house gas emissions. Everyone has the right to breath clean air, drink clean water and guarantee a livable future for their children and grand children. Raising awareness at the community level is crucial to reach the critical mass required to pressure a change in unsustainable business practices and government policies that fail to acknowledge the magnitude of the climate emergency.”

Samia Alduaij – environmental consultant working in sustainable development, natural resource management, environmental governance, environmental management and climate change. She has been working with the key international organizations (World Bank, UNDP, UNEP, CEFAS) as a staff member and a consultant since 2006,  focusing on environmental projects in the Middle East and North Africa region. Samia is a Managing Partner of a small events and advisory company Reefs & Beyond which is home to a local initiative that raises awareness of the environmental impact of unsustainable consumption while promoting more sustainable alternatives through collaborations with local NGOs and green SMEs.
