There would be no climate crisis if Indigenous Peoples would have their rights
The UN scientists underline the crucial role that Indigenous Peoples play in preserving more than 80% of the world’s remaining biodiversity. At the same time, they find that 96% of global forest clearing also takes place in the same crucial Indigenous habitats. The solution is already presenting itself, protect the rights of Indigenous Peoples and give them a say in the international climate debate.
