BIOGRAPHY

Melissa is a student of International Studies living the The Hague. Her initial interest in critical theory has translated into an engagement with Big Data. This has lead her to become a Student Fellow for the Peace Informatics Lab and a Policy Research Intern for UN Global Pulse.

Melissa will address the question of why data are important to all of us. She will highlight the need for more data and corresponding analysis. She will tell you how Facebook and peace are related in many different ways.
