“Climate change and inequality are the two largest challenges the world currently faces. We can’t solve one without working on the other, which is why peace and justice should have a central position in the climate debate. This is why I want to engage young people to speak up about the climate injustices that await them in the future. Only if we seek te secure an equally healthy planet for the younger and future generations, we can combat further climate change.”

Besides her advocacy work for the Dutch Youth Climate Movement, Laura is also an active European Climate Pact Ambassador and a Climate Ambassador of the Future at the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs & Climate Policy. She also works as a sustainability consultant, working towards her dream to leave behind a world in which climate justice prevails.
