BIOGRAPHY

Lada Šoljan has been practicing in the field of international criminal law since mid-2005. She is currently a Legal Officer in the Immediate Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY). She previously served in both the Appeals and Trial Divisions, prosecuting cases involving military, political and police leaders at both the trial and appellate levels, including in relation to the Srebrenica genocide. Lada is listed as an expert on the Justice Rapid Response (JRR) Sexual and Gender Based Violence Investigations Roster, and has provided training to diverse audiences on different international humanitarian and international criminal law topics.  She is a Contributor to the Prosecuting Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (PSV) Network of the International Association of Prosecutors, and is a contributing author to the book “Prosecuting Conflict-Related Sexual Violence at the ICTY.”
