“Free-thinking, objectivity, critical thinking and rationality are universally integral and relate to European Identity. Due to the lack of such values in Iran, I feel a need to fight for these rights and values and to emphasize their importance in some foundations of European Identity.”

Amir Maniee is a translator and blogger from Iran with a Master in English Literature and a doctorate in Business Administration. Due to his strong atheistic opinions, he was forced to leave Iran. In relation to European Identity, Amir emphasizes the importance of the work of Spinoza.
