The UN World Court @70: Ready for the Digital age?

Join this special double edition of HagueTalks in Museon to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the UN International Court of Justice as an institution that has instilled peace through the settling of disputes between states.

On 16 April, HagueTalks will be launching the first HagueTalksYouth with a tribute to the important work of this UN World Court.

Despite its many accomplishments, the ICJ still faces many challenges. How can the ICJ make use of data revolution? How can it harness technology to improve its effectiveness on a daily basis? How can the ICJ be more transparent, accessible and visible to the public? And what is our contribution to Peace and Justice? Come join us for this dialogue followed by an Idealab inspirational session. Alexia Solomou, working at the ICJ, Hedwig Friso, student at THUAS, Sebastiaan Reuijl, Pax Initiative and Leila Prnjavorac will join us for the dialogue.

Museon 16 April, 12.30 – 13.30 pm

On 20 April, the official day of 70th Anniversary celebrations,  Vice-President Abdulqawi Yusuf of the International Court of Justice will be marking this milestone by offering their thoughts on the future of the Court. Their personal Talks will be followed by a moderated Q&A session with our audience. An unique opportunity to break down barriers for a constructive dialogue.

Make sure you reserve a seat as space is limited. Free entrance to the Museon! register@haguetalks.com Re: ICJ70 16 April or ICJ70 20 April
