How to generate positive change for transgender people worldwide?

On International Transgender Day of Visibility, HagueTalks invites you to celebrate transgender people around the globe and acknowledge the courage it takes to live openly and authentically.

Transgender people worldwide experience major challenges – ranging from violence and discrimination to depression and exclusion. Using art, we explore why visibility for transgender people is important. Creatives and protagonists share how audiovisual productions can broaden our understanding of gender diversity, and what it means to be transgender in different parts of the world. We raise awareness of the work that still needs to be done, and discuss how personal stories can lead to inclusivity, open-mindedness, and social acceptance.

On Transgender Visibility Day we challenge you to think of how storytelling can be a powerful tool to disseminate positive narratives, tackle prejudice, stereotypes and stigma. Join us on #TDoV2021, and share your ideas on how to generate positive change for everyone under the transgender-umbrella.
